The Five Highest Ranked Prophets in Islam and the Reason for Their Call.

Rev. David N. Hughes • Five Prophets
All Muslims must believe that Muhammad is the Prophet from Allah. There are four other prophets that are found in the Qur'an that are also in the Bible. In which prophet are we to believe when the messages...
are opposed to one another?

Prophets of God that are found in Islam.

The Five Highest Ranked Prophets in Islam and the Reason for Their Call.

Muhammad: Apostle of God.

Noah: Preacher of God.

Abraham: Friend of God.

Moses: Speaker that was with God.

Jesus: the word of God.

Muslims are taught and believe that true prophets are:

Totally sinless or are protected from major sin. (This belief is from Muslim tradition and is not taught in the Qur'an.)

Prophets are to avoid the major evils or sin. This will nullify the minor lapses.

Prophets are needed for:

Calling men and women back to God.

Proclaiming the divine message of God.

All True Prophets Preach the Same Message:

Oneness of God.

Submission to His laws and commands.

Do good work, which will lead to Heaven - Paradise.

Jesus: The word of God.

The information presented so far is strictly an Islamic view point. There is some truth to be found in the information presented thus far. But what are we to believe when the Bible and the Qur'an are not in agreement with one another? If you are a Muslim the Qur'an, if you are a Christian the Bible, but which one is true?

The author and former Muslim Sam Solomon writes:

Islam gains its authenticity by claiming that its teaching is the continuation of the Torah and the Gospels of the New Testament, while at the same time protecting itself from comparison and thus exposure.

Just what did these five prophets proclaim?

Muhammad (from the Qur'an)

Muhammad is the prophet of Allah (God)

God is one and has no son or equal.

Allah (Muslim God) hates the unbeliever.

The way to paradise is through obedience to Allah.

Noah (From the Bible) by faith

Bring divinely warned of things not seen

Moved with godly fear, prepared an ark for the saving of his household.

By which he condemned the world and became an heir of righteousness.

(God whom Christians call Father prepared only one way to be saved, the ark)

Abraham (Form the Bible) By faith

Obeyed God.

Is counted faithful by God.

Received the blessings from God in which many nations would be blessed.

(God whom, Christians call Father, proclaimed that Jesus Christ is the only way

into paradise, would come through Abraham's family bloodline.)

Moses (from the Bible) by faith

Was a friend of God.

Esteemed the reproach of Christ, and looked for his reward. Not the riches of Egypt.

Kept the Passover and the sprinkling of blood.

(This pointed to Jesus Christ as the final sacrifice for our sin. The final Passover lamb without

Spot or blemish (sinless) who died for us.

Jesus (from the Bible)

The Son of God.

Who the word of God in the flesh.

Jesus Christ the truth,(proclaiming the true word of God His Father) the way, (into paradise) and the life(eternal life with God in paradise).

In the Qur'an the prophets proclaim good works as the way into paradise.

In the Bible the way into paradise is by faith in Jesus Christ.

(Faith: the things not seem, but hoped for( expected).

Whom will you believe this day?
