No. The Judgment day written about in the Qur'an is totally different from judgment day in the Bible. In fact there are two different judgments that people face in the Bible, a judgment for believers and a judgment for unbelievers, and only one judgment found in the Qur'an, Muslims believe that this is the judgment that of mankind will appear.
Why will God judge mankind? Like it or not we all are responsible to God for our actions and deeds that we committed during our life time. As our creator God has given all of mankind a standard of conduct, one of which is called the moral law, and mankind will be judged by the laws of God . On this fact both Muslims and Christians agree. It must be noted here that the breaking of Gods law in considered a sin, again on this fact both Muslims and Christians agree.
The Day of Accounting according to Islam.
Allah assembles all people before Him:
� Each person will have two angels present - one standing to the left and one standing to the right.
� Allah will judge each person on what they have done in their lifetime including every deed, intention, and desire.
� No person can help another; deeds, intentions, and desires will speak for themselves.
� A book of deeds will be opened and witnesses will be brought forth.
� Allah will judge on the scale of absolute justice.
� A scale will be used to weigh the bad deeds as well as the good deeds of that person standing before Allah.
Only those scales are heavier in the balance will find happiness. But those whose scales are lighter will perish and abide in Hell forever. (Surah 23:102-103)
The Qur'an also speaks of a "ledger of deeds" that will be used to record the life of men and women.

The ledger (of their deeds) would be placed before them. Then you will see the sinners terrified at its contents, and say: "Alas, what a written revelation is this, which has not left unaccounted the smallest or the greatest thing!" They will find in it whatsoever they had done. Your Lord does not wrong any one. (Surah 18:49)
He who is given his ledger in his right hand, will say; "here read my ledger. I was certain I'll be given my account." So he shall have an agreeable life in high empyrean with fruits hanging low within reach, (and told:) " Eat and drink your fill as your reward for (good) deeds you had done in the days of yore." (Surah 69:19-24)
Definition: Empyrean: The highest heaven, the abode of God.
But whosoever gets his ledger in his left hand, will say: "would that I were never given my ledger, and not known my account! I wish death had put an end to me. Of no use was even my wealth. Vanished has my power from me." "seize him and manacle him, then cast him to be burnt in hell... (Surah 69:25-31)
Hell as written about in the Qur'an.
The Qur'an gives the following revelation about the abode called hell.
� The people that are cast into hell are chained together. (Surah 25:13)
� Men and women that are in hell have boiling water poured on them. (Surah 55:44)
� The atmosphere of hell is thick, black smoke and scorching wind. (Surah 56:42-43)
� Men and women in hell drink a putrid liquid. (Surah 14:16-17)
� Those in hell cannot die. (Surah 14:17)
These two (believers and unbelievers) are disputants, who contend about their Lord. But they who disbelieve will be fitted out with garments of flames. Boiling water will be poured down over their heads which will dissolve every thing within their bellies, and their skins. There are iron maces for them. As often as they try to escape from its anguish they would be put back into (the fire), and taste the torment of burning . (Surah 22:19-22)
Paradise Also Called Heaven as written about in the Qur'an.
Paradise or heaven is described in the Qur'an as:
� A place where one will enjoy fruits of every kind and a place of honor. (Surah 37:42)
� A garden of delight. (Surah 37:44)
� Where one will sit on couches, face to face. (Surah 37:44)
� Cups of drink from a flowing stream will be passed around - clear, delicious to drink, neither dulling the senses nor intoxicating. (Surah 37:45-47)
� Maidens of modest looks and large lustrous eyes will serve those in paradise. (Surah 37:48)
� A place of great happiness. (Surah 37:60)
In Surah 52:18-28 and 56:10-38, one can find much of the information contained in Surah 37 repeated.
Muslims believe that paradise is blissful and eternal. The key to entering paradise is found in Surah 52.
Those who fear God and follow the straight path will surely be in the gardens and in bliss, rejoicing what their Lord has given them; and their Lord will preserve them from the torment of hell. (Surah 52:17-18)
In the Bible believers (Christians) and unbelievers are judged at separate times.
There are two judgments found in the Bible in which all of mankind will make an appearance. The first is called the "Bema Seat" and second is called the "Great White Throne Judgment of Unbelievers.
The "Bema Seat of Christ" is for those men and women that have received Christ as Savior and Lord. Jesus is the Son of God, died for us, taking on Himself the judgment and punishment for our sins. The reason for the Bema Seat is:
For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad. 2 Corinthians 5:10.
"Bema" means " "raised" it is a raised seat like that of a judge. The Bema Seat is held to give Christians a reward for their deeds that brought glory to God through Christian service. Some of these rewards are crowns.
The next judgment is the "Great White Throne Judgment." This judgment is for the men and women that refused to receive Christ as Savior and Lord. They must bear the judgment and punishment for their sins.
Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away. And there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books. Revelation 20:11-13
