Is Muhammad the real issue between Muslims and Christians?

Rev. David N. Hughes • Ministry
Muslims believe that Muhammad is a messenger of Allah; most Christians would question or even dispute this as a true fact. When a Christian voices this opinion to a Muslim, the situation then becomes very volatile. The fact is Muhammad should not...

be a major issue between Muslims and Christians.

The major issue between Muslims and Christians is the salvation issue. Muslim believe that salvation comes through obedience to Allah. Christians believe that salvation is through belief in Jesus Christ. Muhammad and his standing before Allah is a non-issue.

Then what is the important Issue? Jesus. Is the Jesus written about in the Qur'an the same Jesus written about in the Bible?

Christians need to understand that Muhammad is not the issue, Jesus Christ is the Issue, is He the Jesus of the Bible or the Jesus of the Qur'an? Christians need to understand that the Qurinc Jesus is not the  Jesus of the Bible, and  to be able to explain why we believe that the Biblical Jesus is the true Jesus.

God, which we Christians call Father, is starting to move among the Muslim population in a supernatural way. As Christians we need to be able to explain what we believe and why. Christians must not dismiss the Muslim that claims to have had a supernatural encounter with God and has come seeking answers.

This is why God the Father has raised up this ministry, to equip Christians with the necessary information about the Muslim belief system so that they may be an effective witness for Christ.

Pastors if a Muslim visits your church preach the Good News of the Gospel, and not the evils of Islam. One of the most heart breaking stories that I have ever been told was about a Muslim who visited a Church, stayed throughout the entire service, and has he was leaving the church introduced himself to the pastor as a Muslim, the pastor told the Muslim that he was an "abomination" to God. What a missed opportunity.
